Compression with sophisticated video recording software

IO Industries DVR Express® CLX frame grabber card is a good choice for recording applications with video data rates at 200 MByte per second or lower. A single card can acquire from up to 4 cameras, streaming the video to PC memory. IO Industries Streams™ 5 recording software takes care of streaming the video to hard disk using a 3rd party disk controller in the PC.

The CLX allows direct connection of two camera link or LVDS cameras to its external video ports. Two internal video ports on the CLX are accessible by an optional mating daughter card module. Daughter card modules for two camera link or LVDS cameras, along with modules for NTSC/PAL and GigE cameras are available.

Multiple CLX cards may be installed to record even more cameras. The number of cameras that can be recorded depends on PC performance, and in particular the write speed of the storage media.

Advanced features include precision time-stamping of video frames in hardware, and hardware trigger inputs/outputs with FPGA-controlled timing manipulation, and onboard video buffering for optimal live video viewing.
